I remember a time when there were no recruiting Unconferences and then were were a lot. the 1st recruiting Unconference ever that I know about was put on by Jeff Hunter. The 2nd was called RecruitFest! then a guy names Bill Boorman ran with it and called it tru. Since then there have been quite a few.

An unconference is where everyone goes with the intention of learning something and teaching something. there is no one on a stage and it is more of a discussion based learning experience. They usually cost less money an they are less fancy.

HRPA Conference and Trade Show

The Annual HRPA Conference and Trade Show is fast approaching. The date is Feb. 1-2 and it will take place in Toronto Canada. You can check out the list of speakers and the list of exhibitors

They claim to be the 2nd largest HR conference in the world. I didn’t make this up. I took it right from their website so if it’s not true and you have proof, take it up with them.

Original Owners of The Kennedy Conference buy it back

I just read that The Recruiting Conference once known as the Kennedy Conference has just changed hands again. The original owners of it have bought it back from Tarsus. Read the story here.

LinkedIN will be having a recruiting conference in Las Vegas Oct 17-19 2011. The event is called Talent Connect. Conferences in Las Vegas can be fun because there are lots of other things beside learning more about recruiting you can do. There seems to be a decent line up of speakers presenting their ideas.
